A global pandemic killed millions of people and led to an unprecedented solidarity between esoterics, conspiracy ideologists and racists, which had a powerful impact far into the so-called “middle” of society. The AfD is on an unbridled rise, and society’s shift to the right continues. There is war again in Europe, a fact that is giving rise to much discussion. Unfortunately, the ongoing slaughter and murder in so many other parts of the world does not receive as much attention.
